Summary:
This CIA memorandum, dated June 29, 1990, is a report on remote viewing conducted to gather information on a suspected narcotics smuggling vessel known as SG1A. The remote viewer reported the possibility that SG1A may have been in the area of the Virgin Islands/British Virgin Islands at the time of the interview. It was suggested that illegal drugs were located in two "propane tank-like" metal containers on the ship. The report also mentions that the smugglers appeared to have some form of protection against detection, making it more difficult to locate the ship's geographical coordinates.

 2. (S/STD/NF) 018 reported.a ver va ue~assibiiity that the may have
been (see comments, item 3, below) in the area of the Virgin Islands/British
Virgin Islands at the time of the interview. Them was carrying drugs,
located in the rear lower portion of the ship in two "propane tank-like"
metal containers. Each container was a composite of two containers, a
smaller one inside the other, larger, to provide a space in between the two.
It is in this space where the drugs can be found. The front "tank" contains
plastic-wrapped packages of white material, and the rear "tank" may contain
 marijuana. ?
 3. (S/STD/NF) PROJECT OFFICER'S COMMENTS: Of strong interest to this
target was 018`s report that the =was "protected" from our specific kind
of detection, and that this was done on an experimental basis by the drug
smugglers because "they know about us, now". The "protection" gave 018 only
minor problems with entering the ship and searching its contents, but
appears to have been much more effective when 018 tried to locate the ship's
 geographical coordinates.
