Open AI Summary

Summary:

This document from the CIA's Stargate program discusses a remote viewing session conducted on August 4, 1986. The source was given a sealed envelope with classified information regarding Project 8610 and instructed to write a narrative of their perceptions related to the target. However, the source reported a lack of significant or cognitive impressions. After being given additional time to note any perceptions, the source provided a brief summary but expressed a lack of confidence in the validity of the information.

The document further explains that the source's data does not match the known features of the target or address the specific tasking provided. It is noted that during the same time period, the source was given another sealed envelope containing a training target on the Great Mosque in Mecca. The document suggests that some of the perceptions reported by the source may align with features of the Great Mosque, such as references to a "squarish thing" and an "energy" coming from deep within it. It is speculated that the source's focus may have been drawn away from the operational target due to their training requirements, leading to a lack of confidence in their results.

 SESSION NUMBER: 01
 MISSION STATUS: Initial(complete)
 SOURCE IDENTIFIER: 018
 1. ( ) TX KING: S 96rce was provided a 3x5 brown, opaque envelope.
The envelope was mar ed wit appropriate security and project code identifiers
and the notation, "info ue date: 1 Aug 86." Source was told that a card
inside the envelope, (the edge of which was momentarily shown to Source to
confirm its existence), contained the targetting for this project. This
tasking (not shown nor otherwise revealed to Source), was as follows: "Project
8610. Describe Jul 86- Jul 87 activities with Vic.
The envelope was then sealed in Sources's presence and
provided to him with the instructions that the data contained was classified
SECRET/NOFORN and could not, therefore, be taken home with him. He was,
however, to deep the sealed envelope in his possession while on duty and to
write a narrative on any perceptions he might have pertaining to the target.
No other cueing or descriptive data pertaining to the target was provided to
 the Source.
 2. ( ) SESSION: The technique of Spontaneous Remote Viewing (SRV)
dictates that the Source'srecord their perceptions by writing a summary describing
all aspects of their perceptions without drawing conclusions but also
without prompting or guidance from an outside interviewer or monitor. Source
reported on the morning of 4 Aug 86, that he had not been able to "receive" any
significant or cognitive impressions. When queried he could not recall
any inclemencies which might have prevented him.from performing this task.
Source was, therefore, told that he would be given an additional few hours,
(until the close of business) to note any and all perceptions. If he still
"received" nothing he was to report this fact. Several hours later Source
provided a brief summary of his perceptions with a stated lack of confidence
in the validity of the information.

 3. ( ) SUMMARY: The follwoing narrative contained within
quotation marks is an abridged copy of Source's post-session written summary.
This summary has been editorialized (as indicated), by the undersigned
for clarity, grammar and structure. The actual unabridge summary is
maintained in the mission field dossier at this location.
"(My) impressions began with vague visuals of what appeared to be a blue
tubular device, with the appearance of a clother caddy. This was followed
by impressions of a site similar to another (I have viewed in the past).
(impression of a "squarish thing" mounted on top of "runners' or "tracks".
Later ?a beam of "energy" (came) from somewhere deep inside the "squarish
thing." Each time I would try to see where this beam of energy originated, I
would find a very small black box inside the squarish thing with a curved
and twisting channel leading into the enter. The beam of energy originated
there with a very small mechanism. Each time I tried to. access this mechanism
I would feel a very deep"lump" inside my chest which drove me back from it."
 4. ( ) OPS FE DBACK: Source's data does not overlay any of the known
key or significant features of the actual target nor does it address/answer
the specific "time-line" tasking. It should be noted however, that during
one day of the same period that Source was carrying this envelope, Source was
provided another sealed envelope (1 Aug 86) containing a training target in
conjunction with an on-going training program in Extended Remote Viewing (ERV)
techniques. This training target was the Great Mosque in the city of Mecca,
Saudi Arabia. Many of the getalts reported by Source pertaining to the
closely resemble many of the known significant
features of the Great Mosque. Examples of these features are:
 (1) The Great Mosque is archatecurally a simple rectangular
cube several stories high with no windows and only two doors. Attention is
drawn to Source's repeated references to a "squarish thing."
 (2) Within/ the Great Mosque is located the Kaaba, a coal black
stone allegedly given to man by Abraham to cleanse sins. The stone is
enshrined on a pedestal arrangement with attached handles permitting it to
be lifted or moved if need by. Attention is drawn to Sources reference to a
"squarish thing" (a possible confused overlay) mounted on top of runners or
 tracks.
 (3) The Kaaba bears great religious significance to both the
Islamic would as well as the Judo/Christian ethnic in its reference to the
prophet Abraham, a personality shared by all three religious groups. In
Remote Viewing it is common for a Source to describe religious icons and
artifacts in both spiritual and metaphysical terms, e.g., "Burning energy,"
"great force," "controlling energy" etc. Attention is drawn to Source's
attempts to describe an "energy" coming from "deep within the squarish thing"
and an additional reference to the color black, the color of the Kaaba stone.
It is possible, therefore, that Source's efforts to satify
training requirements in direct support of his immediate supervisor (the
undersigned) may have drawn his focus of attention away from the operational

target. His personal feelings of a lack of confidence in his results
could thus be explained as a reaction to his subliminal knowledge that he had
erroneously completed a tasking, albeit confused by two envelopes, which
led to his failure on this mission.
