 described below.
 (1) (S/NOFORN) Source reported the criterior "wings" of
the clear-story structure consist of work bays containing machinery and
 tools.
 (2) (S/NUFORN) Source reported that down the (apparent)
centerline of the structure is a slow moving conveyor.-type of apparatus along
which (apparent) vehicles are moved during assembly.
 (3) (S/NOFORN) Along each side of the conveyor-type apparatus
are located work tables separated by (apparent)work space.
 (4) (S/NOFORN) Hanging down from above throughout the interior
are hoses and similar type apparatus.
 (5) (S/NOFORN) Source reported that located to the left of
the conveyor-type apparatus, near the end of the unidentified structure,
was an open garage-type door, to the left of which was a large cradle-type
 apparatus (Inclosure 3).
 (6) (S/NOFORN) To the left of the cradle apparatus was a
small interior building and parked vehicle (Inclosure 3).

,15 April 1980 is reported as follows:
 (1) (S/NOCFORN) Source reported that located on the conveyor type apparatus
was a vehicle resembling that at Inclosure 4. This vehicle was being worked on
by personnel standing on either side of the conveyor. These personnel Would
irregularly move between the (apparent) outer machinery bays and the conveyor
 type apparatus.
 (2) (5/NOFORN) Source reported that standing near the small interior
building, and in front of the open garage type door, was a vehicle resembling
that at Inclosure 4. It was reported that the vehicle scared to have been
completed, and was standing near a quality control/inspection point shown at
 Inclosure 5.
 (3) (S/NOFORN) A forklift type vehicle was reported as moving through
the open garage door on the left (apparently) retrieving and moving pieces or
parts from racks outside the building into the interior of the building.

 SUBJECT: INTERIM RESPONSE (U)
The information provided as an enclosure to this report was obtained
in direct response to a collection requirement provided by your office.
The information is from an unconfirmed source, therefore caution is war-
ranted in its use. The material which you will now review has been ac-
quired from a totally new and potentially valuable source of intelligence.
Work is currently being conducted to establish ways by which to improve
the accuracy and reliability of the data. Your attention to a preliminary
evaluation, and later a final evaluation, will be the basis for our assess-
ment of this new collection technique. In addition, your comments provide
impetus upon which approach modification can be predicated for data collect-
ion against the same or any additional targets for which you may have an
interest. The effort you expend will greatly assist us and will ultimately
result in your receiving more information of increasing accuracy and re-
liability. While formulating your judgements concerning the information
provided, the following comments concerning this new source of intelligence
may be helpful. Foremost, the information is likely to consist of a mixture
of both correct and incorrect elements. Specifically:
The descriptive elements are generally of a higher reliability than judge-
ments or labels as to what is being described by the source (a recreational
swimming pool may be mistaken for a water purification pool, or an aircraft
hull may be mistaken for a submarine hull, etc.) Therefore, seemingly approp-
riate descriptive elements should not be rejected because they have been mis-
 lableled.
The data will often contain gaps (in a three building complex for ex-
ample, only two buildings may be described, or an airfield may be added which
is not there.) Such gaps or additions should not be taken to mean that the
rest of the information provided is necessarily inaccurate.
Some of the data provided may be abstract with no apparent importance
concerning the target. However, when considered in light of additional in-
formation provided or obtained at a later date, may then be considered of
high intelligence value. (i.e., lack of personnel within a 24 hour operations
area on a given time and date, which is later confirmed to coincide with a
 fire evacuation demonstration.)
Therefore, a recommended approach is to first examine the information pro-
vided and to answer the questions as best you can (hence this interim response),
in order to provide us with sufficient feedback to continue our support with the
best methods possible. Later, when the project has been terminated against
that specific target, our office will provide you with a more detailed format
wherein a full evaluation of all the information provided can be accomplished.
If you have any questions regarding the data you have received, or its
interim evaluation, please contact this office (IAOPS-H-S) at any time.
