:?UBJ : Summary of Meeting with LTC Kane, DCSOPS, AI-IS, 27 October 1978
1.. Following notes cover major topics discussed between LTC Richard T.
Kane, DCSOPS, INSCOM and myself on 27 Oct 78 at AIlS.
a. LTC Kane gave me a brief outline on background of Project (GRILL
FLAME) and how I had been selected to be INSCOM Project Manager.
b. He explained. that Army had a, contract (MI.A has one through 1"l-'D)
and that DARCOM has contract with SRI being worked at Aberdeen. That
contract was being modified (75K being given to new "add-on" to existing
project) to train INSCOM personnel.
c. I was to manage this new program and develop program within
INSCO.M.
d.1' at SRI wanted training to began as follows: April-May-June:
I individual per month. Training would. be conducted at SRI and would last
one month.
(e. Dr. Targ, SRI, is running experiments now and, if possible,
L'I'C Kane recommended I go visit ASAP.
We agreed that next step would be for me to contact ACE) I action officer,
MC j Bill Stoner (OX 5--5OI+8) and set up briefing for me to get "read ir. on
Army's status.
After leaving LTC Kane 's office, _I contacted Maj Stoner and arranged
