Open AI Summary

This declassified document discusses Dr. Brezinski's perspective on the significance of parapsychology developments. Dr. Brezinski, who is influenced by Pere Terlhard de Chardin, believes that the development of greater ESP capability among society is a symptom of a breakthrough into unitary planetary consciousness, known as the Noosphere. This radical change in human consciousness would have profound strategic consequences. It is believed that we are on the threshold of this change, which is a prevalent view among human evolutionary experts. Terlhard de Chardin predicted this change in the 1920s, stating that the increasing density and speed of information would force consciousness to break through to a higher level. This breakthrough is expected to bring forth new capabilities and dimensions of activity, such as telekinetic weapons, telepathy, and remote viewing. The document also mentions the expanding number of people who consider themselves practitioners of ESP talents, with over 40 million people worldwide. The involvement in consciousness expansion, such as Transcendental Meditation and the Charismatic renewal, is estimated to exceed 15 to 20 million participants in the United States alone.

NOTE: A Probable Brezinski Perspective on Parapsychology
Because Dr. Brezinski is an acknowledged disciple of Pere Terlhard de
Chardin his perspective on the significance of Parapsychology developments
would probably contain two significant aspects, not just one:
 1. The intelligence and security aspect.
 2. The Evolutionary breakthrough aspect.
In these terms, he would view the development of greater ESP capability on
the part of world society as a symptom of the degree of breakthrough into
unitary planetary consciousness or the development of the Noosphere. This
revolutionary radical change in man's consciousness would have profound
strategic counsequences. The expectation that we are on the threshold of
such a dramatic 'change is not a radical idea held by a few human evolutionary
experts but the prevalent view. Witness the statement of Dr. G. Ledyard
Stebbins, PHD Havard University and Professor of Genetics at the University
 of California at Davis.'
"I agree with the late Pere Terlhard de Chardin, an eminent
paleontologist, philosopher, and poetic prophet of human destiny. He states
in his book "The Phenomenon of Man" that at this very instant of evolutionary
time we stand at the boundry line between the biosphere, the realm of life
and organic evolution and the noosphere, the realm of the human mind and. the
evolution which it will generate in the future."*
In'1924 Terlhard foresaw that the density and speed of information
impacting on human consciousness was accelerating rapidly because of radio.
He also foresaw that it brought all men's mentality more closely involved
with one another's affairs on a planetary basis. He predicted that other
developments would increase this pressure on consciousness until it would be
forced to break through into a. higher level in order to accommodate such a
change in information density and complexity. When this happens it is expected
that other new capabilities and demensions of activity will be made available
to man on a routine basis. Telekinetic weapons might then become commonplace
along with telepathy and remote viewing. Man himself would be dramatically
different and not the man we are testing for talents today. From a sociological
point of view it might be worth voting that there are probably today over 40M
people who consider themselves practitioners of what we would classify as ESP
talents today. This is up over several hundred percent since 1960 for example.
As all the major Christian denominations have endorsed the view that the gifts
of the Holy Spirit (which we classify under ESP) are to be considered the common
experience of the Christian; the expansion of consciousness should continue to
accelerate. This decision alone could involve the billion people membership.
In the U.S. there were estimated by a Gallup Poll to be 6M inolved in TM and.
6M in the Charismatic renewal and another 3M involved in other methods of
consciousness expansion. Total U.S. involvement in the consciousness
revolution is probably in excess of 15 to 20 million participants.
